Messi or Ronaldo - Man United star settles GOAT debate names greatest player
Manchester United star Amad Diallo has weighed in on the debate of who is the greatest player of all time.
United take on the Czech Republic side in what is new coach Ruben Amorim’s first away trip with the Reds in Europe and aims to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
But it seems Amorim would see his United owes compounded by Sulc, who has made it crystal clear - he has no intention of going easy on United.
"I used to watch them a lot when I was younger," Sulc revealed according to Yahoo Sports. "I used to really admire Wayne Rooney. I admire Wayne's style, and he always tries to put his all in the match. I kind of try to channel his energy too, so that's my inspiration."
Sulc, who has scored four goals in his last four matches, is determined to put the struggling United side to the sword and ensure Plzen take all three points.
The Czech outfit have won two of their last two Europa League games, while United's new manager Amorim are looking to bounce back from back defeats to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
"Yes, they are in the bottom half of the table, but it's still Premier League, and they have a star-filled team, so it's still going to be a very, very difficult match," Sulc acknowledged.
But the young United fan is unfazed by the challenge, vowing to make things as "unpleasant" as possible for Amorim's men.
"We will stick to our plan, really. We will play as we do in the Europa League. We will try to be unpleasant, we will run a lot, we will put a lot of pressure on the opponent."
And with the backing of the home crowd, Sulc is confident Plzen can pull off a shock result and the mega club.
"This will definitely be a football holiday, because Manchester United is a mega club," he said. "With our approach, we really hope our fans will help us, will support us, and that we will be able to make them happy."
The stage is set for a classic David and Goliath encounter, with a young Rooney-worshipping United fan determined to channel his inner 'Wazza' and inflict more misery on his beloved Red Devils.
