Super Eagles legend has offered words of caution ahead of Nigeria's World Cup qualifiers.

Former Nigeria U-17 coach and current Heartland FC head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has shared his thoughts on the Super Eagles' upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda.

While expressing his support for the team, Amuneke emphasised the need for realism, acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead.

"I hope we make it, I really hope we make it," Amuneke said in an exclusive interview with Modo Sports.

He continued, "I wish them the very best of luck, and I hope they will be able to win their upcoming games, but we must also be realistic. It is a very difficult task, very, very difficult task, but everything is possible in football."

Amuneke's comments come as the Super Eagles prepare to face Rwanda in Kigali, with a 23-man squad selected by head coach Eric Chelle.

The team will be looking to secure wins in their World Cup qualifier series, and Amuneke is hopeful that they can start strong.

"I wish them the very best of luck, and I hope they can start winning in Rwanda," Amuneke said.

The Super Eagles will face Rwanda in Kigala on Friday and a few days later, Nigeria will host Zimbabwe in Uyo.
