The 26-year-old temperamental winger also stresses that Blacks Power couldn’t be in better hands with Hussein Mbalangu as head coach and adds that he is the reason why he joined the club.

Struggling Uganda Premier League side, Blacks Power FC are doing everything possible to have a balanced team that can help them avoid the drop.

Languishing in 14th position with only two wins from 17 games, Tabu Vitalis, one of ten new additions, says a collective team effort from everyone at the club will play an integral part in helping Blacks Power avoid relegation.

“Before I came, I knew that they were struggling, but things will be ok; I know the team will remain in the league, but we have to work hand in hand as players and everyone at the club to get the team out of this situation.”

The 26-year-old temperamental winger also stresses that Blacks Power couldn’t be in better hands with Hussein Mbalangu as head coach and adds that he is the reason why he joined the club.

“Coach Mbalangu motivated me to return to the Ugandan League and play for Blacks Power because I know he is a good coach,” Tabu stressed after their defeat to Bright Stars.

“Under him, I will not only regain my confidence but also take responsibility as an experienced player to help the team.”

Vitalis, who previously featured for South Sudanese side Malakia FC joined Blacks Power in the January window but has also featured for clubs like S.C. Villa, URA FC, BUL FC, Onduparaka FC and Calvary FC.

Blacks Power’s last win was in November, when they picked up back to back wins against Maroons at home and awat to UPDF FC.

The Lira-based side will host Wakiso Giants on March 23, in their next home game. Vitalis will be expected to make his home debut and also stir the team away from the relegation zone with a win.
