Arsenal's mini rut
The Gunners were able to keep the core of their squad healthy for most of last season; however, they have not been as lucky this season, having had multiple injury cases.
In their last league game against Bournemouth, they suffered a 2-0 defeat in the absence of the injured Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. However, the red card to William Saliba took the cake.
While they beat Shakhtar today in the Champions League, their performance was largely lethargic, and they lost another player to the sidelines, Riccardo Calafiori
What Arteta said
There are worries they will be ripe for the picking when they face league leaders Liverpool over the weekend, with multiple important players ruled out of the clash.
However, Arteta explained that he expected his team's performance against Bournemouth and Shakhtar, as they were coming off the international break, but assured that come weekend against Liverpool, they would be flying.
“Believe me, on Sunday vs Liverpool we will be flying. Trust me on that,” the Spanish tactician told reporters.
