The Ingwe tactician made known his thoughts about Tore Bobe aftr FKF Cup clash.

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has revealed he will be surprised if Shabana get relegated at the end of the season after giving his charges a torrid time despite beating them 1-0 in the FKF Cup round of 16 on Sunday.

Leopards needed a Kaycie Odhiambo goal in the second half to give them the win and set them up against Compel in the quarter finals as they seek for a route into next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Speaking to the media after the match, Trucha was quick to praise Sammy Omollo Pamzo and his team, describing them as a formidable outfit capable of upsetting teams with confidence injected in them.

“We respect the opponent because they are a good team, they have a good coach band they are coming up. I will be surprised if they are relegated,” Trucha said after the match.

Reflecting on the game, Trucha emphasized the challenge his team faced against Shabana, stressing the importance of maintaining a clean sheet while waiting for scoring opportunities.

“We were expecting a difficult game. I told my guys to try and keep a clean sheet as long as possible and the chances would come,” Trucha revealed regarding his pre-match instructions to his players.

Despite securing the victory, Trucha acknowledged that his team could have been more clinical in front of goal, especially in the first half.

He emphasized the need to execute set pieces better and praised his players for adapting and finding the winning goal.

“When we changed, we found the goal, but even after going 1-0 up, it was still an open game.

" It was not easy but I am happy we got through, and we will be looking forward to the next game,” Trucha concluded, highlighting the importance of the hard-fought victory.

The match served as a testament to Shabana's resilience and potential, earning praise from their opponents despite the defeat.

As AFC Leopards advance to the quarter-finals, they will carry the lessons learned from the encounter into their future matches with renewed determination and focus.
