The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the coaching staff for the Super Eagles, with Augustine Eguavoen serving as the interim coach.
The team, currently in Uyo, is preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Tomaz Zorec, a Slovenian fitness trainer, will join the coaching staff to oversee the physical conditioning of the players.
Meanwhile, Olatunji Baruwa and Eboboritse Uwejamomere will take on the roles of goalkeeper trainer and match analyst, respectively.

Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede have been appointed as assistant coaches. These experienced coaches will work together to guide the Super Eagles to success in the upcoming qualifiers.

Who is Tomaz Zorec?
Tomaz Zorec is a Kinesiologist and strength and conditioning coach. His professional focus includes aspects of exercise science and physical training.
He is a Slovenian fitness trainer and a dedicated sports professional with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Primorska and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports and Exercise.
Since January 2023, Zorec has been the Head of Academy Strength and Conditioning at NK Maribor, leading the S&C department for U-14 to U-19 teams.
Additionally, he has served as an Assistant Football Coach for the U-15 Slovenian National Team under Head Coach Muamer Vudgalic since June 2021. His expertise lies in sports science, training, and football coaching.
