South Africa Onyango's fondest memory of his glamorous career
Despite attaining a lot of success, Onyango has revealed the achievement that stands out amongst the many he has had.
When the Serbian left to join Zamalek, Mokwena took over the reins as interim coach before heading to Chippa United in the same capacity.
The 36-year-old tactician returned to Sundowns in 2020 as a co-coach alongside Steve Komphela and Manqoba Mngqithi but took over as sole head coach after a reshuffle in October 2022.
Delivering a sixth league title with seven games to spare and a 15-game unbeaten run are some of the highlights of Mokwena’s reign last season.
He will be expected to guide the Brazilians to the elusive second CAF Champions League title, which they last won in 2016.
