FUFA Big League side Police FC will have a new technical team at the start of next season after they parted ways with head coach Angelo Lonyesi and his entire backroom staff.
Pulse Sports understands the club hierarchy opted not to renew the technical team's stay after their one-year contracts expired.
The communication was made on Friday morning through the club's social media handles as Lonyesi and his team were appreciated for their efforts at the side last season.
"We can officially confirm the dissolution of our coaching staff that has ASP Angelo Lonyesi (Head coach), Sgt Yiga David (Assistant coach) and Goalkeeper coach SPC Kanene Faisal with immediate effect," read the tweet."
We appreciate the outgoing technical team's tireless efforts in seeing the club reach greater heights; we wish them well in their next endeavours.
"Lonyesi fell short of earning the 2005 league champions promotion back to the top-flight last season as the cops finished fourth in the FUFA Big League as NEC FC, Mbarara City FC, and Kitara FC earned promotional tickets to the Uganda Premier League.
However, the CAF A licensed tactician also guided the side to the Stanbic Uganda Cup final, losing to eventual double winners Vipers as they lost 1-0 and finished as runners-up.
The 2006 CECAFA Kagame Cup champions are expected to announce Angelo Lonyesi's replacement in the coming weeks as they prepare for the upcoming FUFA Big League campaign.
