Crystal Palace vs Chelsea: Mateta cancels out Palmer strike as Eagles derail Blues' title hopes
Chelsea settled for a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their first game of 2025.

Speaking after the match, Maresca expressed his frustration at the missed opportunities.
"We did enough to win the game today. Between the first and second halves, we created enough chances to win the game, but we need to be clinical," he said.
Maresca also lamented the late goal conceded by his team, adding,
"Unfortunately, in the end, we conceded, but overall, I think we did enough to win the game."
Up next for Chelsea is an FA Cup third round clash against Morecambe at Stamford Bridge next weekend.
