Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has explained why his team lost 5-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino lamented his team's lack of response to Arsenal's early opener, as they suffered a 5-0 defeat at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
The Gunners took the lead just four minutes into the game when Leandro Trossard expertly controlled a short pass from Declan Rice before slotting home a clever finish at the near post.
Kai Havertz and Ben White both scored braces in the second half to seal the win.

Pochettino explains Arsenal humiliation
“I think we started the game not so well.“We conceded the goal and then it was difficult for us to recover from this goal.
I think in the first half we compete after 10, 15 minutes.
“We could not approach the game like we started in the first half and we didn’t compete the way we needed to compete and then when they scored the third it was easy for Arsenal to control the game,” Pochettino told TNT Sports.
Chelsea will hope to have star man Cole Palmer back against Aston Villa at the weekend, as they aim to bounce back from this humiliation.
