It has been an impressive start to the season for the 26-year-old Super Eagles midfield star.

Ndidi has enjoyed a new lease of life under new manager Enzo Maresca following relegation from the Premier League to the Championship last season.

Ndidi has featured regularly as one of two number 8s in Maresca’s 4–3-3 formation.

The goal against Southampton exemplifies how comfortable Ndidi looks in his new attacking role as he kept his calm to dummy his marker before netting from close range.
