The Golden Eaglets are drawn into a group of death ahead of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
The U-17 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place between April 29 and May 15 in the Algerian cities of Algiers, Constantine, and Annaba.
The visit is intended to motivate the Golden Eaglets as they prepare for the U-17 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Confirming the visit, Ndidi announced the visit on his Instagram handle and posted the video.
“It was good to meet up with the under-17s national team and my childhood coach. A very pivotal man in my football career. Always great to catch up 🇳🇬#bigwilf,” he wrote
90 players in Golden Eaglets camp
Ugbade had earlier revealed that 90 players had undergone earlier magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
“About 90 players who have passed the MRI will resume in camp on Wednesday. Thereafter, the number will be trimmed down to 60 after the official MRI is conducted by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“I am greatly satisfied with the number of talents seen so far. I have a pool of athletes to choose from but talent in itself is no longer enough. The talent has to be utilized, trained, and go through the requirement to produce results in the game,” he told NAN
Ndidi has played 47 times for the Nigerian Super Eagles.
Ndidi is presently in the Super Eagles camp ahead of the AFCON 2024 qualifying matches between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau in Abuja.
