The Special One went down in training after a challenge from his own player

It has been a turbulent start for Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce since his arrival in June, but even he would not have predicted his latest setback.

Training mishap caught on camera

On Thursday, Mourinho shared a light-hearted video on Instagram revealing a mishap during training.

The clip shows midfielder Ismail Yuksek accidentally performing a sliding tackle on his coach, leading Mourinho to the physio’s room.

Captioning the video with, “Lesson to young coaches, never wear the same colour as players... they can pass you the ball... or kick you from behind,” Mourinho also tagged Yuksek, along with ex-players Marouane Fellaini and Marash Kumbulla.

Fenerbahce hope for Mourinho’s swift recovery

Despite the laughs, Mourinho's unexpected trip to the physios raises concerns for Fenerbahce as they prepare to face Trabzonspor in a crucial away fixture.

Currently sitting in third place in the Turkish Super Lig, the Istanbul side has faced its share of challenges, including a recent derby loss to Galatasaray.

Mourinho’s Europa League draw against Manchester United provided a glimmer of hope, but they will need crucial points this weekend as they look to salvage their league campaign.

The club and its fans are surely hoping their “Special One” recovers quickly to continue steering the team forward amidst an already challenging season.
