Barcelona vice president Rafael Yuste has revealed the club is in contact with Lionel Messi over a possible Camp Nou return.
Messi’s contract with PSG will expire in three months but there has been no news regarding the extension of the deal and going by Yuste’s revelation, Messi’s return could be close now.
"Leo and his family know the affection we have for them," Yuste said. "I participated in the [contract] negotiations that, in the end, unfortunately, did not come to fruition, and I still have that thorn in my side.
"Of course, I would love to see him return, and I am sure that many fans share my feeling.

Barcelona prepare incentive-based package to lure Messi
Barcelona are reportedly preparing a financial package to attract Messi back to the Camp Nou.
"If all the conditions are met, we are open to the possibility. The president [Joan Laporta] has been with Leo's father, and there is a good relationship."
Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez, who spent a huge part of his career at Camp Nou with Messi, expressed his wish to reunite with the club’s legend.
"We are friends, we speak often, but it's not the moment to talk about this, for the good of Leo, the club, or the squad," Xavi said about Barcelona's all-time top scorer with 672 goals in 778 games.
"It's an issue we're dealing [with], but from that to [him returning] is a big leap. I hope we see him come home. I'm the first person who would love to see the best player ever return."
Financial woes facing Barcelona could, however, be a major stumbling block in pursuit to have Messi’s return.
