Yanga missed the services of Ugandan international Khalid Aucho, but that didn't stop them from completing a double over TP Mazembe in the final group game of the CAF Confederation Cup played in Lubumbashi on Sunday.

The reigning Liigi Ku Baara champions were 1-0 winners at the Stade TP Mazembe, with substitute Faridi Mussa scoring the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute.

The loss also had the home side end the game with ten men after Alex Ngonga was given marching orders in the 90th minute.

Mazembe's goalkeeper N.J Nlend spilt a shot allowing Mussa to slot home and send the travelling fans into wild celebrations.

Yanga was missing most of their star players like Aucho, Aziz Ki, Diarra and head coach Nabi Nasreddine but could still pick up maximum points.

The win temporarily takes Young Africans top of Group D on 13 points after six games played as Real Bamako and US Monastir face each other later on Sunday.

'Teamu ya Wanainchi' already booked a quarter-final berth for the first time in the club's history.

Yanga will now wait to learn about their opponent in the knockout stage when the CAF Confederations Cup draw is done on 5th April in Cairo, Egypt.
