Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala trolls Victor Boniface over missing victory meme after Leverkusen's dramatic win.

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has playfully teased compatriot and Super Eagles star Victor Boniface after his match-winning goal for Bayer Leverkusen against FC Koln, referencing his absence of memes in his celebration post.

The Bay FC striker's banter highlighted a running joke about Boniface's social media activity, particularly his fondness for posting memes following a viral video earlier on Wednesday.

Boniface came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 98th minute to secure a remarkable 3-2 comeback victory for Leverkusen and a spot in the DFB Pokal semi-finals.

Before the match, questions had been raised about Boniface's footballing talent in a viral podcast from Pulse Sports Nigeria.

After the game, Boniface posted his customary victory post across his official platforms to celebrate the goal and victory.

In response to his Instagram post, Oshoala quipped, "You Dey fear woman 😂 why u no add memes," alluding to comments made by Pulse Sports Nigeria presenter Tea, who had suggested that Boniface's regular meme postings were a result of his lack of football talent.

However, his performance against Koln, as well as his recent goal-scoring form, has silenced the critics, with Boniface’s latest strike his second in as many games since his return from injury for the club.

Oshoala's comment wasn't the first time the pair have engaged playfully online. After Oshoala congratulated Boniface.

Boniface, known for his playful tweets with his teammates and fans, has now scored 10 goals and assisted another in 17 matches for Leverkusen in what has been an injury-ravaged campaign so far for the striker.
