Roma fans appreciate Mourinho
According to reports from Daily Mail, Roma fans at the Stadio Olimpico for Saturday's encounter versus Verona expressed and showed their appreciation with mass demonstrations at the club stadium.
Those in the stands held up banners and images of the former manager as Roma won their first league game since December 23, thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Pellegrini, 2-1.
During the game, a big banner was constructed to honour Mourinho's stint at the club, which read, “Memories don't have contracts.
“The smiles you gave us and everything you stood up for our Romanismo will always be respected. Thanks, Mister!' 'You defended us against everything and everyone.
“Roma doesn't forget. Thank you, Mr. Jose!' 'The only one to defend us, the last one to surrender.

“It was a privilege to have you on our side. Thank you, José!' 'Mou, one of us.' 'You defended our Roma, you led us to victory. José Mourinho, eternal glory!”
Other memory demonstrations occurred, with chanting audible throughout the stadium at various points during the game as Mourinho's name rang around the 72,000-seater venue.
Mourinho's tenure at the club was marked by both highs and lows, with their victory in the Europa Conference League in 2022 ranking among Roma's finest triumphs.
He also led them to the Europa League final last season, where they were eliminated by Sevilla on penalties.
