Pep Guardiola has expressed delight at the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho on a five-year deal from Troyes.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is delighted to welcome new signing Savinho to the club.
The 20-year-old has signed a 5-year deal to become the champions' first signing of the summer.
Savinho had an outstanding campaign on loan at Girona last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists.
He also completed the most take-ons in LaLiga for Girona, showcasing his impressive skills.
Savinho's Excitement at Joining Man City
"I'm so happy to be joining Manchester City, the Premier League champions and Club World Cup winners," Savinho said.
"Everyone knows they are the best team in the world right now, so to be here is very exciting for me."
City boss Pep Guardiola was equally excited about his new signing.
“Everyone at Manchester City is delighted to welcome Savinho to the club and we all wish him well during his time here,”
"You'll enjoy it in England. The La Liga is a top league, but the Premier League is even better. The weather is a bit disappointing. But you can get some sun now"
Savinho will wear the No. 26 shirt for City next season that was previously worn by former title-winning star Riyad Mahrez and has been vacant ever since his departure for Saudi Arabia.
