Well respected Ulinzi Stars assistant coach Vincent Otieno has singled out budding goalkeeper Ricky Sylvain one of the club’s best players this season.
It has taken no time to adjust to the top-flight for Sylvain who has been an outstanding performer for Ulinzi according to Otieno.
Ricks joined Ulinzi at the start of the season from the Nakuru-based and Division One side Geothermal Development Company FC.
After his arrival, veteran shot-stopper James Saruni lost his place in the starting eleven, and the youngster has kept eight clean sheets so far despite his young age.
“We have a 19-year-old goalkeeper who is playing as a mature player.He has been outstanding and has kept eight clean sheets so far this season and it is his first season at top flight league,” said Otieno.
Apart from Ricks, Otieno also pointed out the contribution of striker Boniface Muchiri, teenage sensation Staphod Odhiambo, and midfielder and Hillary Simiyu, Bernard Ongoma, this season, has made.
“ In all departments, players have improved, but I can also point out Muchiri as he has provided eight assists, Staphod, a young boy who has scored decisive goals in most games this season.
Then we have Hilary Simiyu, who has been outstanding but has room for improvement. Ulinzi Stars are placed seventh on the FKF Premier League table with 28 points from 17 matches played this season.
