Ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger defends expanded FIFA Club World Cup amid player welfare concerns
Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has voiced his support for the proposed expansion of the FIFA Club World Cup starting in 2025.
In response, Arsenal footballer Bukayo Saka, known for his charitable activities, extended his support to the victims of this natural disaster.
According to Versus, Saka partnered with BigShoe, a charity focused on aiding children from underprivileged backgrounds.
Together, they contributed 50 container apartments to assist families in Al Haouz and Taroudannt, areas significantly impacted by the earthquake.
These containers were assembled into a village, offering a new place to call home for those displaced. Each unit is equipped with essential amenities, including a sleeping area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom complete with a washbasin, toilet, and shower.
They also have power sockets and protective grills to safeguard against future earthquakes. This initiative aims to provide a haven for 255 individuals, with a special focus on the well-being of the 89 children residing there.
Saka's Broader Philanthropic Work
Supporting Healthcare in Nigeria: In November 2022, Saka, whose heritage traces back to Nigeria, collaborated with BigShoe once again.
This time, their mission was to fund medical treatments for 120 Nigerian children suffering from serious health conditions like brain tumors.
Expressing his hope for the project, Saka stated his desire for the beneficiaries, especially the children, to regain some normalcy in their lives through these efforts.
Bukayo Saka's actions demonstrate a deep commitment to humanitarian causes, transcending his sporting achievements. His efforts in providing shelter and healthcare support exemplify his dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
