Troost-Ekong is expected lead Nigeria in their first-leg AFCON 2025 qualifier against Libya.

The match is set for Friday, October 11, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

The Super Eagles, who currently sit atop their group with four points from two matches, will look to extend their lead with a win against Libya.

A victory would boost Nigeria’s tally to 10 points, putting them in a strong position to qualify for the tournament.

The Super Eagles will be without star striker Victor Osimhen who has been ruled out with injury.

Meanwhile, defender Bright Osayi-Samuel and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke have all arrived at the 23-man camp to join their teammates for final preparations.
