A masked man climbed into the rafters at BVB Stadium Dortmund following the final whistle of Germany's 2-0 victory against Denmark, forcing police to step in.
In a statement released last week, UEFA warned that increased security would be implemented at host stadiums due to several pitch invasions that have marred the tournament.
German police were already on high alert, especially concerning aggressive hooligans, travelling criminals, and terrorism.

Police arrest stadium roof climber
The Police arrested a man who was pursued at gunpoint and he was seen climbing the Dortmund stadium.
After the game, spectators remained in the stadium until lines of police separated them in an attempt to remove the supporter from the roof beams.
A video of the man strolling along a beam high above the fans below was shared on X by Mail Sports, where several were yelling for him to come down.
The individual, with his face covered, moved to the corner of the stadium top as the cops attempted to place him under arrest.
At gunpoint, the man surrendered to the police after pursuing him through the rafters, brandishing their firearms.
The crowd were evacuated from the stadium immediately following the event, and he was subsequently handcuffed and unmasked by the police.
