Israel Adesanya planing for after UFC
As an investment to safeguard his future after leaving the UFC, "The Last Stylebender" just launched his own real estate company.
But in his most recent YouTube video, Adesanya credited his father, Oluwafemi Adesanya, for organizing and growing the entire company.
When compared to other occupations, the career of a professional athlete is very brief.
While the majority of professionals work until or past the age of sixty, most athletes find it difficult to continue in their career after their late forties.
When the 34-year-old retires from the UFC, "Izzy" and his family would require a reliable source of income, something his father fully understood.
This, in his opinion, was the main justification for making the real estate investment.
His father Oluwafemi further stated that since he would be handling that duty, the company will be well-cared for.
"The last Stylebender" thanked his father before revealing the company's board, which is branded the "Adesanya Close."
Along with the post was a message that said, “A good boy that he is…” 😊
The Adesanya family tree has strong roots and delicious fruits. We go chop life until the end of time, AMEN‼️‼️
He said, "Israel needs to have something solid as investment.
"So we decided that we were going to go for property development.
"And with me there as the father, no better person to look after him than myself.
"A good boy that he is and trusted me with my decisions. And here we are.
Israel Adesanya on property development
Adesanya added, My dad already said most of it because, you know, this is this is his vision for not just for me, but for the family.
"Thank you all for everything you've done through the ups and downs, the smiles and frowns.
"Because I know a project like this isn't easy again. One down, 50 more to go, Yeah.
“I just wanna say thank you to my Dad. I just fund this. He’s the guy who takes his time to actually be there and be in touch with everyone who are a part of the project.”
As Alex "Poatan" Pereira is already scheduled to defend his championship at UFC 300 against Jamahal Hill, Adesanya is unlikely to make the transition to light heavyweight very soon.
However, following his victory at UFC 297, Dricus Du Plessis, the current middleweight champion wants a fight.
