Kamaru Usman will try to collect the UFC welterweight back from Leon Edwards in London.
Nigerian and American professional mixed martial artist Kamarudeen Usman is set for a return to the octagon in 2023.
Usman is set to take on English professional mixed martial artist Leon Edwards for the third time.
Dana White President f the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced on Saturday, January 23 that a deal between Usman and Edwards for the trilogy fight has been finalized.
According to White, Usman will face off against Edwards as the headline event of UFC 286 in London, United Kingdom.
Usman and Edwards will serve as the main event while Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev gets the wish to meet American Justin Gaethje as the co-main event.
There have been reports that Usman is battling a wrist injury as he was spotted wearing a cast some days ago.
White however dismissed the possiblity of another opponent for Edwards in his homecoming fight.

The 35-year-old Usman dominated the opening exchanges against Edwards and was primed to win the fight.
Edwards in the final round was able to produce a stunning overhead kick to knock out Usman in the main event of UFC 278
Edwards in August 2022 took the Welterweight title from Usman in Salt Lake City, Utah, and sets up a highly anticipated third fight.
Usman defeated Edwards via unanimous decision back in December 2015 in Orlando, Florida as both fighters are now 1-1 against each other.
The third fight will once and for all decide the best in the division with the 31-year-old Edwards favored against Usman.
