Dana White says Kamaru Usman fought the perfect fight before being knocked out by Leon Edwards.
American businessman and president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has given an assessment main event of the next edition.
English professional mixed martial artist Leon Edwards defends the UFC welterweight title for the first time.
Edwards defeated Nigerian-American professional mixed martial artist Kamarudeen Usman last year to become the new UFC welterweight king.
Usman previously defeated Edwards in their first matchup back in 2015 and now in 2023, they face off for a trilogy.

Usman came into the fight aggressively and was on his way to defending the welterweight title for the sixth time.
However, Edwards was able to produce a sensational overhead kick to knock out Usman and claim the crown at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
According to reports, Usman was ahead on the judges' scorecard with less than a minute in the round before the monster head kick by Edwards.
They meet again in the main event of UFC 285 scheduled for London to settle their rivalry.
White speaking to the media in a recent event stated that Usman was in full control of the UFC 278 main event with multiple takedowns against Edwards.
He praised Usman for fighting the perfect fight and expressed that the outcome of the last encounter sets up massive interest for the trilogy.
He said, "You think of everything that was on the line for Usman tonight, and Usman fought with absolute and total confidence all night," White said. "He fought the perfect fight.
"It might not be the most fan-friendly style, but he was landing big shots to the body, big shots to the head, elbows. Couldn't have fought a more perfect fight until the last minute."
Usman has a chance to redeem himself and move up the pound-for-pound ranking with a victory against Edwards.
