The 2023 Guru Nanak Rally in Kenya promises thrilling action with star drivers, legends, and emerging talent competing in the KNRC.

As the Kenya National Rally Championship gears up for its penultimate round all eyes are set on this weekend's iconic Guru Nanak Rally slated for 4-5 November.

With a lineup sprinkled with legends, newcomers, and champions, this year's edition promises a motoring spectacle like never before.

Newly minted champion, Jasmeet Chana, who will steer his championship-winning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, will be joined in the cockpit by his elder brother Ravi Chana, adding to the familial firepower of the team.

Rallying legend Ian Duncan, a record 12-time winner of the Guru Nanak, will also be gracing the event with his presence, piloting a Nissan 280Z classic car with navigator Jaspal Matharu.

The event is not just a showcase for the seasoned veterans; it is also a platform for young, emerging talent. Neel Gohil, son of retired rally driver Sushil Gohil, will be making his debut in the second-tier clubman category, participating in the training event run alongside the main KNRC.

Piers Daykin, a former multiple KNRC navigators' champion and two-time Guru Nanak winner, is set to make a triumphant return, this time in the driver's seat of a Datsun 280Z, navigated by Tariq Malik.

The field also includes Samman Vohra, last month's KNRC7 KMSC Rally winner, in a Skoda Fabia Rally 2 car, as well as promising youngsters Rajveer Thethy in a Subaru, Nikhil Sachania in a hand-controlled Evolution X, and Jose Sardinha in a Mitsubishi Pajero SPV.

The Guru Nanak Rally, one of the oldest on the calendar, is renowned for its challenging stages and breathtaking scenery.

This year's event will feature seven speed tests, with the Soysambu and Sleeping Warrior stages repeated twice, and the Mbweha stage repeated thrice.

The third run of the Mbweha stage will serve as the Power Stage, offering bonus points on the KNRC points table to the three fastest drivers.

Clerk of the Course Qahir Rahim revealed, "The event is an exciting run on the WRC Safari route and will run entirely on private land."

The Guru Nanak Rally also features a clubman category, providing a valuable opportunity for novice entrants to hone their skills in a proper rally set-up.

With a total competitive distance of 69.48 km, the clubman rally promises to be a rigorous test for the participants.
