Eldoret Rally witnesses thrilling battles and a muddy challenge for Kimathi.

After an action-packed weekend at the Eldoret Rally, Ford Fiesta Rally 3 driver McRae Kimathi has expressed his satisfaction with his performance, finishing in an impressive fourth place behind the formidable Chana brothers, Ian Duncan, and teammate Jeremiah Wahome.

Navigated skillfully by Mwangi Kioni, Kimathi Junior proved his mettle amidst challenging conditions, describing the first stage as "slippery" for their car.

However, they quickly found their footing and steadily improved their pace, setting the stage for a thrilling battle with teammate Jeremiah Wahome. 

In the end, Wahome narrowly edged past Kimathi in the last stage, leaving the young driver in high spirits despite the loss. 

"It was a muddy event. First stage was slippery for our car. But we gradually increased our pace and savored a lovely battle with my teammate until he pipped me in the last stage. Otherwise, a fun event," Kimathi Jr. commented

The Eldoret Rally proved to be an intense and testing affair for all participants, with the initial stages being particularly tricky due to the slippery conditions.

However, Kimathi Jr. and his navigator negotiated through the muddy obstacles with skill and determination, gradually gaining confidence and speed as the event progressed.

His teammate, Jeremiah Wahome, provided stiff competition, making the battle for positions even more exciting. 

Kimathi and Wahome engaged in a captivating duel, exchanging positions throughout the rally.

However, it was Wahome who ultimately managed to clinch the third spot, leaving Kimathi Jr. to settle for a respectable fourth-place finish.

The Eldoret Rally marked a significant return for Kimathi. to the KNRC Championship after his participation in the WRC Safari Rally, which took place five weeks prior. 

With a total rally time of 01:26:01.2, Kimathi displayed consistent and competitive driving throughout the event. 

The Eldoret Rally was dominated by the Chana brothers, Jasmeet and Ravi Chana, who emerged as the clear winners and solidified their position as series leaders with 169 points. 

However, Kimathi Jr. managed to secure a commendable second position in the series standings with 79 points, reflecting his consistent and competitive performances over the five rounds of the KNRC Championship.
