President Ruto, recognising the significance of the event, welcomed top drivers to Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, describing it as an incomparably beautiful destination and the first home of humankind.

"This Easter weekend, I join the people of Kenya to welcome top WRC Safari Rally drivers to Naivasha, in the Great Rift Valley, an incomparable beautiful destination in magical Kenya, the first home of humankind,” said Ruto.

“We are honoured to host the world's toughest motor rallying contest, a captivating showpiece, where human ingenuity and endurance, breathtaking rugged terrain and the epitome of automotive engineering excellence are stretched to the limit in the epic struggle that is the WRC Safari Rally.”

President Ruto is slated to flag off the event at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, followed by a motorcade procession to Kasarani National Stadium for a brief exhibition.

Subsequently, the action moves to the Service Park in Naivasha, serving as the event's nerve centre, where teams will fine-tune their vehicles and conduct essential maintenance.

The rally's route encompasses various scenic locales in Naivasha, including Malewa, Loldia, Elementaita, and Soysambu, with strategically located spectator stages allowing fans to witness the adrenaline-pumping action up close. The event culminates at the Hells' Gate National Park, where winners will be celebrated amidst closing ceremonies.
