Uganda has been at four Netball World Cups, 1979, 2015 and 2019 and will be going for its fourth in Cape Town, South Africa which is the first on African soil.
She Cranes captain Irene Eyaru believes the current squad is better than the 2019 squad that competed at the World Cup in England.
Only shooter Mary Nuba and goalkeeper Stell Nanfuka on the current team were at the Liverpool edition four years ago.

She Cranes captain Irene Eyaru guided Uganda to victory at the 2018 World Netball University games in Kampala, Uganda.
"There are a few players left from the previous tournament, but I feel that this group has the opportunity even to perform better," Eyaru told Pulse Sports.
"They finished in the eighth position in the last World Cup, and we have a target of finishing at least in the medal bracket," she said.

It is under a month to the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town South Africa, the first on African soil. It has brought lot of excitement not only in the rainbow nation but also in the Pearl of Africa.
The She Cranes are in Group D alongside world champions New Zealand, Singapore and Trinidad and Tobago.
"It doesn't matter that some of the big players from the previous tournament won't be around, provided they keep in touch," Eyaru noted.

As the 2023 edition edges, many hope the She Cranes put up a better performance than the past two editions, something head coach Fred Mugerwa agrees with entirely.
"But I feel like it must be time for this young side to get the experience because it would have been harder to get playing time with the big players around," she added.
