Plascon Uganda has come to the team's aid with a Ugx 100m package aimed at helping them prepare better for the upcoming showpiece, according to Santosh Gumte, the General Manager of the leading paints manufacturers.
"We want to get out of the group stages first, then see how we can handle the remaining games; we've dropped in the rankings because we missed various tournaments due to financial challenges," Mugerwa noted.
"Our target at the World Cup is to make sure we return to sixth or fourth in the world."

Mugerwa also said that with the amount of activity at Lugogo that includes hosting National Basketball League games among others, gave off an indication of netball not being ‘a priority.
The She Cranes first qualified for the World Cup in 2015 in Sydney, Australia, and they finished eighth; they bounced back four years later in England and finished one place better.
Pooled in Group D alongside Trinidad and Tobago, New Zealand and Singapore, Fred Mugerwa hopes for another improved performance.

The World Cup is set to run from the 28th of July to the 6th of August at the Cape Town Convention Centre in South Africa.

She Cranes head coach Fred Mugerwa has revealed that he will only get excited for the Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 when he touches down in Cape Town.
She Cranes get their campaign underway against Singapore on Friday, 28th July, before facing New Zealand on Saturday, 29th July, with Trinidad and Tobago wrapping up their group stage campaign on Sunday, 30th July.
Netball World Cup groups
Pool A: Australia, Tonga, Zimbabwe and Fiji.
Pool B: England, Malawi, Scotland and Barbados.
Pool C: Jamaica, South Africa, Wales and Sri Lanka.
Pool D: New Zealand, Uganda, Trinidad & Tobago and Singapore.
