It should be noted that despite the She Cranes having qualified for the world cup, they were fined GBP £5000 after they withdrew from the world cup qualifiers in 2022 due to financial constraints.

The She Cranes' schedule at the upcoming netball world cup has been revealed.

Uganda will take on Singapore on July 28th, New Zealand a day after before wrapping up their group stage schedule against Trinidad and Tobago on 30th July.

The World cup will take place in Cape Town South Africa and the She Cranes will be making a third consecutive appearance at the event.

It should be noted that despite the She Cranes having qualified for the world cup, they were fined GBP £5000 after they withdrew from the world cup qualifiers in 2022 due to financial constraints.

With the public spat going on between the Uganda Netball Federation president and the national council of sports general secretary, it remains to be seen if the team will receive the required funds to compete at the world cup.

Uganda debuted at the Netball world cup in 1979 but returned to the stage after a 36 year hiatus in 2015.

Netball World Cup Groups

Group A: Australia, Tonga, Zimbabwe, Fiji

Group B: England, Malawi, Scotland, Barbados

Group C: South Africa, Jamaica, Wales, Sri Lanka.

Group D - New Zealand, Uganda, Trinidad & Tobago, Singapore.

Dates - 28th July - 6th August.
