UCU Netball defeated Weyonje Netball Club, 39-38, at the Luzira Prisons grounds to complete a season double over their opponents.
It was a very close encounter, with two points at most celebrating separating the teams in every quarter of the game.
This improves the Mukono based side's record to three wins in a row after victories over Africa Renewal and Mutelx life sport last week.
Head coach Nelson Bogere credited his side for following the game plan despite it being a callous game.
"Credit to the ladies for following the game plan and sticking to their principles throughout the game," Bogere told Pulse Sports.
" Weyonje also gave us a perfect game, and the best side deserved to win in the end," he added.
Despite the extended season break due to administration issues, Bogere believes the time away could have been a blessing in disguise.
"To be honest, the extended time out allowed the team to build the right chemistry, and this has undoubtedly contributed to our impressive start to the season," Bogere added.
In other games during the day, table leaders KCCA dismantled Busia 87-34. Prisons defeated Posta 82-23, while UPDF defeated Busia 60-44.
