Uganda has been affirmed as the hosts for the 2023 Netball Africa Cup; Africa Netball has made it official.
The Ugandan edition will make it the 13th Africa Netball Cup championship but will also present the inaugural Africa Netball men's netball cup.
"Africa Netball is pleased to give Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) the hosting rights," partly said a Wednesday communication from Africa Netball President Cecilia Molokwane.
"Upon confirmation that all the hosting requirements will be in place before and during the tournament to allow the smooth running of both competitions," the letter added.
Among other requirements needed for hosting the Africa Netball Cup is possession of playing venues, which should be indoors with sprung floors.
The UNF should also be able to provide meeting venues and accommodation for teams, match officials, and Africa Netball and World Netball Executives.
The country's body should also be able to provide inland transport, medical, security, liaison officers and volunteers for umpires and Netball Staff.
At a yet-to-be-confirmed date, UNF is set to have the tournament at each of the MTN Arena, Lugogo, Africa Bible University and Makerere Netball Court
