GOLF Two teams book a slot to the Grande Finale slot at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour
The fifth leg will be held at the Kakamega Golf Club from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28.
The junior events are jointly organized by U.S. Kids Golf and the Junior Golf Foundation Kenya. They will feature junior golfers aged between five and 18 years old, enabling them to showcase their abilities and compete in age-appropriate competitions against their peers.
The event in Karen had initially been scheduled for March this year but had to be postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The two events are closely following the recently concluded Thika Sports Club edition held on Sunday, May 7. The Thika edition witnessed the impressive participation of 145 junior golfers, further emphasizing the Tour's appeal and impact on the junior golfing community.
The junior events are sponsored by NCBA Bank as part of its continued commitment to supporting junior golf development in the region.
The bank has in the recent past continued to invest in the growth and advancement of young golfers by sponsoring junior tournaments.
Commenting on the tournaments, NCBA Group Director of Marketing Nelly Wainaina expressed her delight in supporting the U.S. Kids Golf Spring Local Tour, underscoring the company's unwavering dedication to junior golf development.

GOLF Junior golfers delighted with improved competition at Kids Series
The youngsters were impressed by their good results at the Limuru and Thika legs of the Junior Golf Foundation event.
"Through supporting the sport, we have witnessed the remarkable rise of junior golfers in recent times, and we are honoured to contribute to their journey. Our aim is to cultivate their talent and help them unlock their full potential," she said.
Meanwhile, the upcoming tournament will also offer the junior golfers a chance to qualify for international tournaments organized by U.S. Kids Golf.

The event was an opportunity for junior golfers to qualify for U.S. Kids Golf international tournaments by earning points for Priority Status.
By earning points for Priority Status, participants can get a chance to participate in events such as the Regional Invitational and the U.S. Kids Golf Regional Championship, scheduled to take place later this year.
