A total of 320 venues from 40 regions will participate with 120 male and 28 female players qualifying for the nationals.
Finally, the time for talk is over as the Nile Special Pool Championship gets underway on Friday in different districts.
The tournament that is the biggest in the pool calendar returns after a five-year hiatus since 2018.
Nile Special has injected a total of shs.340 million for the championship that runs from June 23rd to November 11th, when the grand finale will climax at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

Sheilla Ankah and Rasheeda Muteesi are among the four players given a bye into the Nile Special Open Pool championship nationals.
This year’s edition will be played in three phases, starting with zonal qualifiers to the regionals and then the nationals.
The regionals are divided into 40 regions, with about 320 venues set to host the qualifiers. Over 10,000 players are expected to take part in the qualifiers.
Four players will qualify from each venue for the regional qualifiers.

PAU announced that only the top four in ladies and eight in men will be given a bye from the gruesome qualifiers expected to attract more than 10,000 players.
The regionals will produce three players each to make 120 who will join the eight top seeds in the country.
In the ladies' category, four players will qualify from the seven demarcated regions in this section.
The eight players given a bye to the finals include seed one Ibrahim Kayanja, Kenneth Odong, Glorious Ssenyondo and Ibrahim Sejjemba.
The others are the defending champion Mansoor Bwanika, Habib Ssebuguzi, Joseph Ssozi and Yudah Ssembusi.

Mansoor Bwanika is the defending champion of the Nile Special National Pool open Championship.
The four ladies are Rasheeda Muteesi, Rukia Naiga, Victoria Namuyanja and Sheila Ankah.
The ladies defending champion Rita Nimusiima is ranked seventh and, therefore, will have to navigate the qualifiers.
Pool Association of Uganda has no restriction on where the players can choose to play their qualifiers, so fans can only keep their guess.
The winners will drive home a brand-new car as well as loads of cash.
