ATHLETICS Sha'Carri Richardson lays bare her walk back from doping ban
Sha'Carri Richardson has shared how she managed to bounce back this season after her doping ban in 2021.
Speaking during an interview with USA Today Sports, the 27-year-old basketball player explained that the greatest thing they can do is feel everything as it comes and not try to suppress what goes on in their minds.
“The biggest thing for them must be to feel the feelings. I think we have all grown up just putting on masks and having been forced to talk a certain way and be a certain way and I think we are slowly starting to break from that mole.
However, you just have to feel the feelings at the end of the day. Other times I would rather accept the fine than mess up my peace and mental health because someone wants a story from me.
I have to protect my peace at all costs and I think that is the biggest thing,” she said.
She also explained that there is no harm in feeling everything and the athletes should know that it is okay to have bad days and good ones.
