Carlos Alcaraz at 20-years-old became the youngest Wimbledon men's singles champion since Boris Becker in 1985, and only the second player to beat Novak Djokovic on center court since Andy Murray did it in 2013.
Carlos Alcaraz came back from a set down to win his first Wimbledon title, defeating Novak Djokovic 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in a five hours thriller.
The young Spaniard overcame the tough challenge by his more experienced opponent to hand Djokovic his first Wimbledon loss in six years and win his second Grand Slam title.
Alcaraz at 20-years-old becomes the youngest Wimbledon men's singles champion since Boris Becker in 1985. He is also only the second player to beat Djokovic on center court since Andy Murray did it in 2013.

Speaking after the match in an interview with ESPN, Alcaraz said it's a dream come true.
"Since I was born, the Big four dominated Wimbledon. After 20 years, my age, seeing my name on the wall, and the trophy, it’s a dream come true,” he said.
He becomes the first player to win Wimbledon besides Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray at 20 years.

Alcaraz also had some admirable words for Djokovic.
“You inspire me a lot. I started playing tennis, watching you, since I was born, you already were winning tournaments. It's amazing - you said 36 is the new 26 and you make that happen."

With Djokovic's loss, Federer still holds the record for the most men's singles Wimbledon titles of all time (8).
