The KCB East Africa Golf Tour has billed itself as ‘an opportunity to reinvigorate golf’ through a thrilling eight-month-long series that will see golfers from six East African nations competing in various tournaments across the region.
The event is expected to showcase some of the best golfing talents in the region, with amateurs, juniors, and professionals all welcome to participate.
The tour will feature 18 amateur series in Kenya, with Tanzania and Uganda fielding two series each.

The tournament will kick off with 18 amateur series in Kenya, with the first set of tournaments scheduled to take place at the Vetlab Sports Club, Eldoret, Limuru, Railway, and Kakamega.
The other Kenya legs of the tournament will take place in Nyanza, Thika, Nyeri, Nakuru, Kericho, Great Rift Valley Lodge, Kitale, Machakos, Sigona, Nyali, Nandi Bears, and Karen Country Club.
It will then move to Uganda with series held in Kampala and Wakiso, as golfers strive to qualify for the Grand Finale in November 2023, where the winners from each club will converge at the Karen Country Club.

Japheth Achola, the KCB Group Human Resources Director, said that the bank has been instrumental in creating opportunities for hundreds of golfers in the past.
He added that the tournament would provide a platform for golfers to showcase their skills and be part of the history makers.

The tournament will also focus on promoting environmental sustainability, with the organizers ensuring that the courses are taken care of and that the event is conducted in an eco-friendly manner.
The amateur tournaments will take place on Saturdays, while the junior clinics will be on Sundays. Female Led and Made Enterprises (FLME) will host the women's clinics on Fridays.
