Embu County Chief Officer of Sports, Talent Development, and Creative Arts Pithon Muchoki is keen on working with relevant sports stakeholders to ensure that sports talent among young people is not wasted.
Muchoki said Embu having produced a lot of great athletes, they want to invest in more upgraded facilities to inspire youngsters to join athletics among other sports.

FOOTBALL Wanyama Football Academy lands support to nurture talent
The Wanyama's are yet to disclose the type of support they have received.
The Njukiri Stadium is now under renovation and the stakeholders believe that once everything is done, they will be able to hit the ground running in search of the young talent.
“As a county, we have a lot of talent and Embu has produced a lot of great athletes. Our conducive weather environment is also an added advantage for us. I hope this initiative will be motivation enough to attract other young people to engage in sports,” Muchoki told KTN Sports.

Sports PS Jonathan Mueke said digitization will make their work easier as they search for talent in the grassroots.
They plan on ensuring this initiative is a success through working closely with coaches who train the young people in schools.
Muchoki noted that they will also ensure they work together with teachers considering they spend most of the time with the youngsters.

Radull promises accountability in Talanta Hela program
The program is aimed at nurturing and scouting young talents across all sports.
“We shall also be having talent centers and every holiday, we shall make sure we have holiday camps for the best students in athletics, football and basketball among other sports,” Muchoki added.
The stakeholders are also keen on teaching the young people against embracing harmful practices such as doping and age cheating among other things. They also believe that engaging in such activities will develop the county as well.
