In one of the most incredible matches played at the Australian Open in the open era, Andy Murray emerged victorious over Thanasi Kokkinakis 4-6 6-7(4) 7-6(5) 6-3 7-5, booking his spot in the third round.
Murray came back from two sets down and 2-5 in the third set to level up and take it on a five grueling sets encounter, which lasted for 5 hours and 45 minutes - the longest match in his career and the second longest match in Australian Open history in the Open Era.

The only match to have surpassed it is the 2012 final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, which lasted 5 hours and 53 minutes.
Murray has now won his first two rounds at the tournament in five sets, coming from two sets down in each match, proving his mental and physical toughness is still up there even as a 35-year-old walking with a metal hip.

He says in an on-court interview after the match, "Yeah...I have a big heart. I have always loved competing, I have always worn my heart on my sleeves and shown my emotions when I play, and I have been criticized a lot for it over the years, but that's who I am."
