Dan Mukundane and Swaburah Mutesi were the worthy winners of the continental accolades.
Two Kakungulu Memorial School, Kibuli students clinched multiple gongs at the Weightlifting Championship in Cairo, Egypt, on Monday.

Mukundane, 16, won three gold and four silver medals for a grand total of seven in the 109+ Kg weight category.
“It is humbling to get such a reception. This is motivational enough to maintain working hard as I plan to elevate to the seniors,” said Mukundane following the triumphs.
“I thank my coaches, mother, Kakungulu Memorial school and everybody who has been part and parcel of my weightlifting journey," he added.
Meanwhile, Mutesi managed a total of four medals, including gold in Snatch 67 Kg and three silver medals (Clean and Jerk 77 Kgs) for the youth.
She then added two silver medals in the Junior cluster (Snatch plus clean and jerk).
“I want to thank my mother for the support given to me, the coaches for their effort, and the education by Kakungulu Memorial school plus all my fans,” Mutesi spoke.
Following their return, Uganda Weightlifting Federation Public Relations Officer Isa Lutaaya Kanda revealed plans for participating in the forthcoming events in Mexico and Qatar.
“We are happy for the performance of Mukundane and Mutesi in Egypt. As a federation, we are energised towards the next games in Mexico (World Juniors) come November 2023 and the Grand Prix in Qatar in December this year."
Kakungulu Memorial School has set the bar high as the first to send representatives to an international championship.
