Uganda Investment Authority is ready to partner with NCS and sports federations to promote sports in the country.
The National Council of Sports (NCS) has partnered with the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) to promote sports in the country.
The NCS general secretary Dr Bernard Ogwel confirmed the two government entities had signed a Memorandum of Understanding over the same.
Ogwel revealed in a letter that invited the various sports federations and associations registered under the NCS to a brainstorming meeting over the same on Wednesday at the Cooper Chimney.

Mugerwa also said that with the amount of activity at Lugogo that includes hosting National Basketball League games among others, gave off an indication of netball not being ‘a priority.
“Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) is one of the companies that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Council of Sports (NCS) with the objectives of promotion of sports in the country,” Ogwel wrote to the different national sports bodies.
Ogwel noted that UIA, through their International partner "Catch Me Techn", is ready to partner with NCS to promote sports in the country.
He revealed that UIA’s partners ("Catch Me Techn") deal in various business promotions, including sports and are ready to work with NCS under the theme "Unblock Uganda" to promote sports through the different bodies.

“The purpose of this letter is, therefore [to] inform you as above and;invite the President or Chairperson for a meeting with the above partners to discuss sports development in Uganda and, in particular, your Federation/Association,” he invited.
