The latest tests start this week for the Nigerian youngsters who have departed the country for Congo.
Nigeria's under-18 and 20 male handball teams will this week play their first matches at the IHF International Trophy Continental Phase for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo.
The two teams will play a round-robin competition in both categories with the National under-20 boys, led by coach Fidelis Obi, playing the very first match of the championship against Guinea at 9 am while the Coach Emeka Nnamani led under 18 team begins their competition campaign against Burundi at 11 am.
All matches will be played at the Gymnase Nicole OBA ( Nicole Oba Gymnasium) in Brazzaville.
The Nigeria teams qualified for the continental championship after winning both the under 18 and 20 categories of the IHF Challenge Trophy for Africa Zone 3 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast without losing any match and will hope to continue on that momentum force as they aim for the world championship.
