Nigeria's para-badminton duo, Bolaji Eniola and Chigozie Nnanna, have secured their place in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games after winning their second match on Friday.
Eniola, competing in the women's singles, continued her winning streak by defeating Australia's Celine Aurelie Vinot 2-0. She had earlier defeated India's Kaur Mandeep.

In the men's singles, Nnanna also advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Indonesia's Fredy Setiawan 2-0. He had previously defeated Germany's Marcel Adam in his opening match.
The team's 23-athlete contingent to the Paris 2024 Games will be aiming to build on the success achieved at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where they won 10 medals.
Since its Paralympic debut in 1992, Nigeria has amassed a total of 80 medals, with 40 of them being gold.
