Mexican judoka Prisca Awiti Alcaraz, whose father, Xavier is Kenyan has made history by winning a silver medal in the women’s -63 kg category at the Campo Marte pavilion.
The 28-year-old London-born athlete, representing Mexico since 2017, delivered a standout performance, though she was ultimately defeated by Slovenia’s Andreja Leski in the final by ippon (1-10).
