Well, CasinoAlpha.co.nz conducted research, using an Instagram pricing calculator to create a list of the most influential Wimbledon tennis stars and established how much they can earn per sponsored Instagram post.
The study showed that Novak Djokovic is the most influential tennis player competing at Wimbledon in 2023, earning potentially £54,700 per sponsored Instagram post.
Here are the top 10 most influential Wimbledon players on the list and how much each earns on their Instagram platforms.
Top 10 most influential Wimbledon players of 2023
1 - Novak Djokovic
The reigning men's singles Wimbledon champion is the most influential tennis player at Wimbledon this year. He could earn up to £54,700 from each sponsored post on Instagram.
Djokovic has the highest following of any Wimbledon tennis player at 13 million and an engagement rate of 2.7%. He has earned his following by winning seven Wimbledon titles, a record 23 Grand Slam titles, and 94 singles career titles in his illustrious years as a player.
2 - Nick Kyrgios
The Australian is the second most influential tennis player at Wimbledon this year, earning up to £22,700 per Instagram post.
He has the second-highest follower count at 4.1 million and a high engagement rate of 3.7%. Kyrgios was a finalist in 2022 but sadly withdrew from this year's tournament due to a wrist injury.
3 - Andy Murray
The Scottish icon's the third most influential competitor, who can earn up to £12,800 on each sponsored post. He has a following of two million and an engagement rate of 6.1%.
Murray is a two-time men’s singles Wimbledon champion and has won 46 singles career titles, including three Grand Slams (US Open and Wimbledon twice), 14 Masters 1000 series, two Olympic Gold Medals, and a title at the ATP Finals.
4 - Stefanos Tsitsipas
He is known as the Greek god. Tsitsipas earns up to £12,200 per sponsored Instagram post. He has a large following of 1.8 million and a 3.3% engagement rate.
He has won nine ATP singles titles (including two Masters 1000 championships) and contested two major finals at the 2021 French Open and 2023 Australian Open, finishing runner-up to Djokovic both times.
5 - Matteo Berrettini
Berrettini is the fifth most influential player at Wimbledon on Instagram. His following of 1.6 million and an engagement rate of 7.1% can earn him up to £11,100 on each sponsored post.
The Italian has won seven ATP Tour singles titles and two doubles titles and produced his best major performance by reaching the singles final of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.
He has also reached the quarterfinals or better at all four majors, being the first man born in the 1990s and the first Italian man to achieve the feat.
6 - Iga Swiatek
The women's world No.1 tennis player is the most influential female tennis player at Wimbledon 2023. Her combination of a follower count of 1.3 million and a high engagement rate of 9% could potentially earn her up to £9,300 on each sponsored Instagram post.
Świątek is a four-time major singles champion, having won the French Open in 2020, 2022, and 2023 and the US Open in 2022. She is the first player representing Poland to win a major singles title and has won 14 WTA Tour-level career titles.
7 - Ons Jabeur
The Tunisian and only African player on the list has 913,100 followers on Instagram, and her engagement rate of 5.1% could potentially earn her up to £7,100 on each sponsored Instagram post.
Jabeur has won four singles titles on the WTA Tour, eleven singles titles, and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit. She was a runner-up at both Wimbledon and US Open in 2022, becoming the first Muslim and Arab player (male or female) to reach a Grand Slam final.
8 - Coco Gauff
The US sensation has an Instagram following of 890,500 and an engagement rate of 0.2% which can earn her up to £7000 per post.
Gauff has won three WTA Tour singles titles and eight doubles titles, as well as one ITF singles titles and one doubles title.
9 - Jannik Sinner
The young Italian has 841,000 followers on Instagram, an engagement rate of 5.8%, and potential earnings of £6700.
Sinner has won seven ATP titles in singles and one in doubles and became the youngest ATP title-holder since 2008 by winning the 2020 Sofia Open and the youngest to have five titles since Djokovic in 2007.
He became the first teenage ATP 500 champion since the category was renamed in 2009 by winning the 2021 Citi Open.
10 - Aryna Sabalenka
The Belarussian star has a following of 661,600, an engagement rate of 9.7%, and potential earnings of £5600 per post.
Sabalenka has won one major singles title, at the 2023 Australian Open, and two major doubles titles, at the 2019 US Open and the 2021 Australian Open, both partnering Elise Mertens. She has won 19 career titles in total, 13 in singles and six in doubles.
