The World University Games will take place from July 27 to August 8 in Chengdu, China.
Team Uganda has revealed that 53 delegates, 40 athletes, and 13 officials will be flying the country's flag at the World University Games.

The team will be departing for China in phases, with the first batch of the Delegation departing Uganda on July 25 for Chengdu, and the rest of the delegation leaving Uganda on July 26 and 27, respectively.

Blessing Danjuma will be representing Nigeria in Tennis at the World University Games.
The student-athletes were selected from 10 Universities namely, Uganda Christian University, Makerere University, YMCA, Bishop Stuart University, Gulu University, Ndejje University, Kyambogo University, ISBAT University, Makerere University Business School, and Victoria University.
The team started training started in March with residential camps at Ndejje University, Uganda Christian University, and Makerere University.
Uganda's history at World University Games
At the 29th World University Games, Uganda finished 34th with one gold in 10,000M by Bahati Sadic, one silver in 1500M, and one bronze in 800M by Ajok Docus all from Ndejje University.
In Napoli, Italy in 2019 during the 30th edition, Uganda won silver and bronze in track and field events. Docus Ajok won bronze in the 800M women's final and Shida Leni won silver in the 400M final.
Uganda has fielded strong athletes, medal-winning student-athletes in both genders.
