Action on the national golf circuit heats up this weekend as the Windsor Golf and Country Club in Nairobi gears up to host the much-anticipated Windsor Classic from March 1st to 3rd.

This event, marking the third leg of the 2024 NCBA Bank-sponsored Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) series, is set to draw golf enthusiasts and players from across the globe.

Elvis Muigua will be the center of attention as he aims to clinch his third consecutive Windsor Classic title.

Muigua's remarkable journey includes recent victories at the 65th Sigona Bowl and the inaugural Great Rift Valley Championship, setting the stage for a thrilling contest in Nairobi.

The Windsor Classic not only boasts a rich tradition but also serves as a crucial stepping stone for golfers vying for points in the Kenya Amateur Golf Ranking and the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

With a robust lineup of 134 players, including a dominant home field of 123 Kenyans, the tournament also features international contenders from Uganda, India, Rwanda, Norway, and Zimbabwe, showcasing the global appeal of the event.

The competition is fiercer with the inclusion of four elite female golfers: Joyce Wanjiru, Kellie Gachaga, Belinda Wanjiru, and Diana Mbuba, who are set to challenge the status quo and vie for the top spot alongside their male counterparts.
