Nairobi's RFUEA Grounds is abuzz with anticipatory energy as preparations for the 56th edition of the annual Christie Sevens rugby tournament kick into high gear. 

Hosted by Kenya Harlequin and set against the vibrant backdrop of the 2023 National Sevens Circuit, this historic tournament promises a weekend of exhilarating rugby action on Saturday, August 12th, and Sunday, August 13th. 

The stage is set for fierce competition, showcasing the perfect blend of strength, strategy, and sportsmanship that defines the captivating sport of rugby.

With a legacy stretching back to its inception in 1964, the Christie Sevens tournament holds a venerable position in Kenya's rugby calendar. 

This year's edition promises to be no exception, featuring sixteen formidable teams in the Men's Division One, twenty-four in Division Two, and six in the Women's Division. 

As the fourth of six tournaments in the 2023 National Sevens Circuit, the Christie Sevens holds a crucial place in the hearts of rugby enthusiasts and players alike.

During a media briefing held at RFUEA Grounds, Nekesa Were, the Tournament Director, expressed unreserved excitement about hosting this illustrious event.

 "As we approach the 56th edition of the oldest Sevens Tournament, we are filled with anticipation and enthusiasm.
