KCB came from behind to beat Kenya Harlequin to seal a place in the Enterprise Cup final against Kabras Sugar, who rolled Nondies in Kakamega.
Kenya Harlequin will have to wait another year to quench their thirst for the Enterprise Cup as they blew a 10-0 lead to lose 32-18 to a spirited KCB in an encounter that took place at the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka on Saturday afternoon.
The Bankers are now on course to try and reclaim the cup they last won in 2015, where they will be facing Kabras Sugar, who brushed aside Nondies 54-8 in Kakamega.
Harlequins took the initial initiative with a well-converted penalty through Amon Wamalwa in the fourth minute after they had gained territorial advantage over the hosts.
Quins would continue on their quest, and in the 14th minute would make it eight points to their good when Albert Alela landed a try after getting on the end of Farhan Juma’s exquisite pass after he had managed to carry it through to the left before laying it off towards him. However, it was not converted.
Paul Mutsami would land a second try for the visitors a few minutes later, which was converted well by Wamalwa this time.
KCB needed answers, and after regaining their composure and adopting a patient approach, they would take advantage of a nervy moment. In the 28th minute, Zeden Marrow was lucky not to be sent to the sin bin after tackling Jacob Ojee, nearly making contact with his face.
